A tattoo, to me, is more than just a drawing on skin — it’s a form of storytelling, a personal ritual, a trace of experience.
My name is Anna and I’m a tattoo artist and the founder of Midgard Tattoos in Hilversum. I specialize in Nordic and realistic styles, combining a deep love for mythology, symbolism, and detail with a unique artistic vision. For me, a tattoo is more than an image on the skin — it’s a form of narrative, a personal ritual, a lasting imprint of experience.
Each tattoo is designed from the ground up, with full focus and close collaboration with my clients — to create something with true meaning. Outside of tattooing, I also work in oil painting and illustration, often blending these disciplines into my studio practice. I hold a Master of Fine Arts degree with a specialization in Easel Painting, which continues to inform both my technical approach and creative process.
